Regional Seminar 8th April 2010
March 2010
Dear Home Owner,
2010 is proving to be yet another year of change for the care sector. You will know that of course and I have no doubt that you are keen to have as much information as possible about th e following:
- Care Quality Commission
- The re registration process due to be implemented between 1 April and the end of September 2010
- The standards that are to replace the national minimum standards
- The Independent Safeguarding Authority
- and of course many other issues including local authority funding in the coming year
National Care Association is at the forefront of representing the independent care sector as these changes are developed both by Government and other agencies.
We are very keen to share our knowledge with providers as we know it will assist you with the planning of your business.
There are so many issues to discuss at the moment but also a great deal of practical assistance that an organisation like National Care Association can offer to care homes and domiciliary agencies. We would therefore like to invite you to attend one of the seminars we are holding in Norwich, Croydon, Central London, Kent, the Midlands and Nottingham in March and April. (Venues can be found on the booking form attached).
We have invited the Care Quality Commission to speak at the seminar and a representative of Skills for Care will also be making a presentation.
I enclose a draft agenda for your information. There will be a nominal charge of £40.00 for non-members attending and £25.00 for members.
Please complete the attached booking form and return it to us as soon as possible if you are able to attend.
We do hope that you will want to join us for the day and take the chance not just to meet with us but also with homeowners from your area.
With best wishes
Yours sincerely
Nadra Ahmed OBE
Chairman
