CRB Disclosures
National Care Association acts as an umbrella body for 90% of its members. We work to ease the administrative burden for members and to act as a quick information service with regards to the frequent changes to the CRB process.
Announcement from Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA)
On 15th June 2010 the Home Office announced that the Vetting and Barring Scheme will be put on hold so that it can be remodelled to proportionate and common sense levels. This means that the Independent Safeguarding Authority registration stage of the scheme due to start on 26 July 2010 has been stopped.
Until we hear further announcements from the Home Office the safeguarding regulations that came into force in October 2009 will still apply.
Similarly the CRB will still launch the introduction of the new applications form on 26th July 2010. The existing requirements set by Criminal Records Bureau continue to apply.
